Each weight has male thread on one end and the same size female thread on the other, enabling the weights to be concatenated to whatever length desired. It is important to note that the inserts have to be removed before weights can be added. There are a few reviews that mention some issues with the product. One customer reported that the weights didn't screw into the inserts. Another stated that they received only the inserts, with no screw-in weights, and the inserts were 50 grains rather than 25.
