Answer: The bag itself is biodegradable. So, yes, if left alone long enough, the bag will eventually disintegrate. But it probably won’t happen in your trash can as the process may take months to complete. -

Can these be used with sewer system or just septic systems?
Answer: Either sewer or septic will work. Septic system treats waste on-site while sewer goes to a treatment plant. In either case, the bag will start to disintegrate in either system in about 24 hours. Giving the right mixture of pressure, humidity, temperature, and most important, microbes, the bag will break-down in either septic or sewage system. -

Do any of these flushable bags come scented (lavender)?
Answer: I’ve been buying these for many years, and have yet to find scented flushable poop bags. I know there a scented poop bags, but they are not the flushable ones. -

How fast do they dissolve in water?
Answer: According to the manufacturer, it doesn’t dissolve in plain water; it dissolves in waste water in the septic system where there’s humidity, temperature, motion, and microbes. It takes a few days to break up into small pieces, and then a few more days to dissolve even more.
