Customers may not find it at the grocery stores and so ordering in bulk is a solution to avoid lack of availability. Singles boxes can be relatively pricey. The product is not gluten-free but is easy to prepare in 5 minutes. It is a perfect lunch choice for hard physical labor, and it’s just as enjoyable as macaronis in American chop suey. It is a dried pasta that is not fresh. Past buyers feel that the pasta boxes are fresh enough, not past their best by date when they receive them. Mezze penne appears to be no longer available in the US market. It is still produced for European grocery sales, especially Italy. Mini penne seems to be the same as the mezzo penne, or mezzi rigatoni might be a viable alternative, if the mini penne proves too small for pasta recipes.
