- NasalCEASE is a first-aid hemostatic dressing designed to stop minor nosebleeds quickly and easily. It uses a natural biopolymer made from calcium alginate (derived from brown seaweed) that helps accelerate blood clotting as soon as it comes into contact with blood. The calcium alginate fibers release calcium, a clotting factor, to speed up the body’s natural clotting process. The packing absorbs blood and forms a gel-like mass that helps stop bleeding and doesn’t stick to clots, reducing pain and chance of rebleeds on removal.
