Would you say the 8-ft rod is the medium light or medium action. I don't want anything too stiff but I want to be able to use it to bass fish too
Answer: Can't say for sure if the 8 foot rod is stout enough for bass because I ordered the 10 foot version which I would guess is somewhere between medium light and medium. I think you could use it for bass as long as they weren't lunkers. I really like mine as I have caught some really nice crappie with it and a few bass up to 2 3/4 pounds. If were anything larger, then I would reflect back to when I was five years old and my dad taught and showed me the meaning of finesse when lowering the toilet lid, then apply that principle to this situation Hope this helps. -
