Although the clamp does not read anything with no current going through the wire, when used properly, the meter functions great. It has a flexible test lead and a soft zippered case, but it is not a true RMS meter. The unit does not vibrate when testing voltage, but it emits an audible beep when "detecting" amps. Some people find this feature annoying, but others find it helpful. The product is made in Taiwan, which is Considered superior to made-in-China but not as good as made-in-USA.
