The bumper has a 2-1/2” outside diameter stainless steel cover with a 1-1/8” black rubber bumper. According to customer feedback, the installation is easy and comes with a screw and anchor. The bumper is stiff and of similar quality to materials used to make automotive bushings. It is well designed, well made and looks great. While it is recommended for use indoors, it can also be used outside with a good coat of paint on the metal ring, but the weathering will shorten its life.
