All children whose weight or height exceeds the forward-facing limit for their car safety seat should use a belt-positioning booster seat until the vehicle seat belt fits properly, typically when they have reached 4 feet 9 inches in height and are 8 to 12 years of age. -

Do these have latches to attach it to the car?
Answer: No, these will not have the latches. -

Does this seat have the clip for the shoulder belt guide?
Answer: Yes the Solana and Solana 2 booster seats come with the shoulder strap/red belt guide and it is under the cover of the seat. -

What is the shape on the bottom? Smooth or bumpy? I don't want one that dents my leather like crazy.
Answer: It is not completely smooth on the bottom. I don’t have leather in my car so I don’t really know if it would dent it but it might. However it is one of the best booster seats I’ve bought. -

Answer: There is NO latch on the basic Solana models and only a belt guide. If you are looking for something with latches you will want to look at the Solana 2 which has dual latches. -

Answer: The seat is placed on the seat and you secure the child with the seatbelt. -

Answer: Yes, but it's a little difficult to hook the seat belts.
